Shonali Sabherwal

Shonaali is India’s ‘first’ Nutritionist/Chef/Instructor in Macrobiotics - graduate of the Kushi Institute, USA. Her tryst with Macrobiotics began in 1998 when her father had cancer, and she wanted to help him with an alternative approach. She sought a diet that would enhance one’s ‘wellness’ from within, focussing on changing blood condition and using food as a tool to change any im-balance in the body of any kind.

It’s very rare that one gets that one gets a combination of a health Nutritionist and a Chef in one person and this really is her USP. She has been trained in the Art of Oriental Organ Facial Diagnosis; and her advice stems from analysing your organ imbalances first, then prescribing a diet plan. She meets your needs not at just on the Health Counselling level, but stretches beyond that and takes it to your plate, wherein you are equipped with recipes, cooking styles, and sources or where to find products.

Shonali has run a kitchen in Mumbai from where she supplies healthy Macrobiotic Vegan meals on a day-to-day basis and is now launching her own line of products. She has worked with the ITC group in Bangalore, to provide recommendations for their room service menu, and is on the board of Ecole Mondiale School Mumbai for their canteen services. She has written 3 books published by Penguin Random House – The Beauty Diet (2012), The Love Diet (2014) and The Detox Diet (2017).
